How it works

From your files to a clear answer in four steps.

  1. 1
    Day 0

    You send the files.

A short intake form, then read-only access to your accounting system (or an export), twelve months of bank and card statements, payroll summaries, receivables and payables aging, and any lender or investor documents.

  2. 2
    Days 1–7

We read it the way a CFO would.

We review the books as they stand, read twelve months of bank activity for the patterns that matter, test the receivables aging, and assess whether margin can be measured from what you have.

  3. 3
    Days 8–10

    You get it in writing.

Your position in each area, the top findings with an estimated dollar range, the recommended fix for each, what to do first, and a fixed monthly retainer to carry it out — in plain language.

  4. 4
    When it suits you

    We walk you through it.

A 30-minute results call, then you decide: engage us on the retainer quoted, act on the report yourself, or take it to another advisor.

Choose your diagnostic

Two ways to start, one for your situation.

Both are a fixed fee, both end in a written report and a results call, and neither obliges you to anything further.

A retainer quoted without a review is a guess — this is how we avoid guessing.

Running the business

Finance Diagnostic

You run a business between about $1 million and $15 million. It works, but you're deciding from the bank balance, the books are behind or on a cash basis, and you can't say with confidence which part of the business makes money.

$1,500 USD · fixed fee · 10 business days · no obligation afterward

What the report covers

  • Books and close: basis, accuracy, timeliness, and what a real monthly close would change
  • Cash: the patterns in twelve months of bank activity, why it gets tight, and what a forecast would need
  • Margin visibility: whether margin by product, service, or location can be measured from your current data, and what it would take
  • Receivables: the aging, what looks collectible, what does not, and the size of the leak
  • Pricing and reporting: whether prices reflect today's costs, and what you see now versus what an owner should see monthly

Scope: One entity, one accounting file, up to twelve months, documents as supplied; anything beyond is quoted separately at $250 per hour.

Deal Readiness Review

A bank, an investor, or a buyer is about to look at your numbers — or you want them to. You need to know what they will find before they find it.

$2,500 USD · fixed fee · 10 business days · no obligation afterward

What the memo covers

  • Normalized earnings, first pass: owner compensation, obvious one-time items, and cash-basis timing adjusted from the statements you supply
  • Balance sheet readiness: receivables allowance, deferred revenue, debt schedule, related-party items — flagged, not restated
  • Revenue quality: concentration, recurring versus one-time, and the contract terms that draw questions
  • The documentation gaps a diligence team will flag — classification, contracts, licenses — from what you provide
  • A readiness score by area, the fix for each, and a clear recommendation: proceed now, proceed after fixes, or wait

Scope: One entity, one accounting file, up to twelve months, documents as supplied; anything beyond is quoted separately at $250 per hour.

Questions

What people ask before ordering.

Something else on your mind? Ask it on a free call.

What if the report says the finances are in good shape?

Then you have that in writing, which is worth having before a lender, a partner, or a buyer asks. The fee stands, because the review is the work.

Do I have to hire Zobov & Partners afterward?

No. The report is yours. Some owners use it to fix things themselves; some take it to their existing accountant. Most go ahead with us because the retainer is already scoped and priced.

What is not included?

Rebuilding or catching up the books, building the cash forecast, running the margin analysis, preparing the data room, and anything involving a second entity or more than twelve months. Those are the engagement, or a separately quoted project at $250 per hour. The diagnostic tells you which of them you need and what each would cost.

What do you need access to?

Read-only access to your accounting system (or a full export), twelve months of bank and card statements, payroll summaries, receivables and payables aging, and any lender or investor documents. Everything is covered by a confidentiality agreement signed before you send anything.
